Day 1 – No racing because of remnants of Hurricane Bill. The famous Hoover Seafood Boil was a huge success and I think everyone was glad to stay dry.
Day 2 – First Happy Father’s Day. Winds were out of the southwest which made for shorter races @ Hoover. Races averaged 25-30+ minutes. The race committee did a good job of getting off 4 races on Sunday. In the first race Stu Fisher got out in front and kept the lead wire to wire. In the second race Jim Ward won. In the third race Jeff Jones had a tough start and was in the back and quickly battled back and took the lead in the second lap and went to win. In the fourth and final race Jim Ward sailed a very smart race holding off Scott Savage and Jamie Jones.
Congratulations to Jim Ward and his wife Jayme for winning the 2015 George Fisher Memorial. These two sailed very consistent all day with two bullets, a third and fourth place finish.
Close behind also sailing extremely consistent was Jaime Jones and his (very quite and shy brother in law) Joe Hurst. In third place was Stu Fisher sailing with his father, Matt Fisher, and girlfriend, Kelsey Loss.
