We sailed three races today under tough conditions. Winds were out of the northeast with sustained winds around 18-19 mph, and gust into the mid 20s. Scott Savage said, ” yea it was a lot is work, but it was epic!” Race committee did an excellent job, and fleet 1 put on a great dinner after sailing.
It felt great to get back on shore and just sit down. Sunday the forecast looks much milder with sustained winds of 10mph and gusts into the upper teens.
Stayed tuned for day 2. If we get five races in, the throw out comes into play.
